Ice Cream Sandwich comes on board ^^

Still having the Anime fever... Decided to go even further "back in time". Inspired to draw this after listening to the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra play the theme of everyone's favourite gadget cat: 小叮当! Doraemon was created by Fujiko Fujio as a Japanese manga series before evolving into an anime series. Should be a little chubbier than how it was drawn here. Completed with the newly upgraded S Memo on the GALAXYNote running Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich ^^

Face/Off: Goku/Vegeta

Apologies to fans of Vegeta and Goku and to Akira Toriyama, the creator of the amazing Dragon Ball Z, for over-simplifying the 2 Super-Saiyans. It was heart-warming to draw this and reminisce the times when I'd wake up every weekend morning to watch Dragon Ball Z on Channel 8 ^^

Anime Time: Gatomon and Shinn Asuka

 

       

















Time to take some inspiration from Anime characters. Gatomon is Hikari's companion Digimon from the Digimon Adventures series. Obviously lacking her tail ring here. Initially planned to draw it in but couldn't put it in without the important inscriptions on it so I left it out.

Shinn Asuka usually looks more serious but I decided to put a smile to his face :) If Wikipedia doesn't fail me, he made his first appearance in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. Had to "wiki" this because I was never a big Gundam fan. I was always more old school... Perhaps I should give Dragon Ball Z a try the next time round! That'd be fun :D

Happy Mothers' Day

She knows and understands everything without the need for you to tell her. She'll never give up on you even when everyone else does. The one that God has blessed us with from the day we breathed out first breath. Happy Mothers' Day to all Moms out there! And of course, I thank God for blessing me with the strongest, bravest and most loving Mom I could ever ask for ♥!

Butterfly Lovers

Inspired to draw this after listening to The Butterfly Lovers' Violin Concerto (梁祝小提琴奏曲). This world-renowned piece was written by 陈钢 and 何占豪 in 1959 while they were students at the Shanghai Music Conservatory.

Shared this with my MSHS 2D' 2012 boys close to the end of their mid-year exams, to tell them: 不要因为自己是学生而小看自己! Because students can achieve big things! ^_^

Avengers Assemble: Captain America

There was absolutely no way I could have drawn all of the Avengers who appeared in the Joss Whedon blockbuster. I had to pick one, so I picked the easiest - Captain America. That said, this sketch does no justice to Chris Evan's Captain Steve Rogers at all. Needed quite a fair bit of improvisation.

The Batman

I have to admit that this is by far my favourite drawing of all so far. Not just because it's of my favourite superhero detective but also because of the colour combination. This sketch was inspired by the animated series: The Batman. Just in time to promote The Dark Knight Rises too! ^_^

Angemon

After Patamon ♥, Angemon was an inevitability. Perhaps the most challenging one I've worked on since I began the #BeNoteWorthy quest. I'm sure it took close to week before it took shape! The colour was even more tedious! The final result is nonetheless very pleasing ^_^

If I'm not wrong, I actually did up the finishing touches of while lazing around after the end of a typically joyful Sunday! ;)
